Wildcat bluff
It is located just off of West Loop 335 North, just outside of Amarillo, Texas. Use a GPS to locate it – it is not well marked.
The trails are set in over 600 acres of virgin prairie land, just as our forefathers found it as they moved into the panhandle country.
While we were hiking, a bird of prey – probabily an immature bald eagle – kept a wary eye upon us.
Here is a scene of apparently primeval prairie.
Here is a different view.
From the lower trail, here is a view up Wildcat Bluff. According to the owner, there rocks are incredibly old.
Here is another view up Wildcat Bluff. This time I included the sign.
The remainder of this post is just more views of the open prairie.
